Reconstruction Project of Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center Multi-Function Hall
Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center is located at Fushan Bay, East New district of Qingdao, which is nearby Wusi Square and Donghai Road. This center covers an area of 45 hectares, which includes 30 hectares of venue construction and 15 hectares of development zone after competition. The sailing competition of the 29th Olympic Games in 2008 and the 13th Paralympics Games are held here.
Project brief description
The reconstruction of Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center is a decoration type of project for our scaffolding. This project uses B type ringlock scaffolding as the main material, which is equipped with steel plank and steel stair.
Assembling difficulties
1.The wall decoration is dry handing panel, which requires the welding of steel structure firstly. Some area excess the wall too much and the steel structure can’t finish the assembling of steel parts and wall panel together, which required second revision.
2.When assembling the scaffolding, the final finished wall is treated as the control line. When they start the construction, overhanging working platform is assembled outside and helps to work with the scaffolding. When scaffolding has been finished, the steel plank can be reused to inner side for hanging panel assembling. The overhanging structure can be disassembled then.
The reconstruction of Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center is a key project of Qingdao Municipal Government. The feature of this project is that the disassembling of old construction and construct of new project are going together. Different professional teams are working in same site and the task is heavy. While Rapid Scaffolding project team finished the work with high quality and good efficiency. They detailed the work and ensured one-time acceptance.
